Programs

No More Homeless Pets: The SC state legislature passed a bill to subsidize the poor that have pets. This program allows for poor folks to get a reduced rates at their local veterinarian. The veterinarian in turn, can get the remainder of his fee from the state. You can also get a vanity plate for your car in support of this program.

Each year SCAV offers the following awards:

 

Hall of Fame The Hall of Fame award is for pets that exhibit exemplary behavior in terms of their help to their masters and the public to include acts of bravery and heroism. In the past, SCAV has given these awards to pets that helped sick children and protected their masters from convicted felons. We encourage everyone to submit a nomination for those pets that are in special in their own way. Click here for a nomination form.
