SCAV schedules an Annual Lowcountry Conference every January, an annual Southeast
Veterinary Conference every June, and two animal academies, one in March and one
in September. By attending these events, veterinarians may complete all of the continuing
education hours needed for relicensure. In addition, SCAV offers various programs.
These include Hall of Fame awards that recognize pets in areas such as companionship
and heroism. Awards are also bestowed on outstanding veterinarians, humanitarians,
and veterinary technicians. SCAV also promotes the No Homeless Pets Program.
